United Nations Security Council Abstentions

This research details all Security Council Resolutions from 1946 until June 30, 2006. It shows which nations abstained or cast negative votes. Please note this data does not account for the "hidden veto" it is simply a collation of the public voting records.

Of interest to the scholar is that the United Kingdom is alone amongst the Permanent members of the Security Council in that it is the only member not to have publicly abstained on a single resolution since 1988.
