All about Red Rose Tea

Red Rose was first sold in the Atlantic Provinces of Canada. It all began in 1894 when Theodore Harding Estabrooks began packaging a quality blended tea that would taste the same from brew to brew. Traditionally tea had been sold loose meaning that consistency was difficult to find.

Red Rose tea was sold in the Canadian Atlantic Provinces but soon expanded to the Northern parts of the USA close to the Canadian border. Tea bags were introduced in 1929.

History:

1894 - Mr. Estabrooks created a blend that would be consistent from cup to cup
1932 - Business sold to Brooke Bond & Company, England
1985 - Unilever purchased Brooke Bond Foods and sold the Red Rose rights to Redco Foods.

Red Rose teas are made from Sri Lankan ( Ceylon ), Kenyan, Indian and Indonesian black teas that produce a consistent full flavored cup of tea.
