..To be eligible to purchase from StudentUniverse, you must be either a student or teaching faculty member who is currently registered in an (government) accredited college, community college, or university of 2-4 years. You do not need to be attending school full time, as long as you are currently enrolled and taking/teaching classes. Some of our Student Airfares do have age requirements."

Finding cheap travel from the USA can be a daunting experience. Well established companies such as STA Travel are no longer always the cheapest (though used to be great for travellers leaving Britain) and Priceline, whilst good for hotels does not offer the same heavy discounting.

After searching many different sites Student Universe has consistently been the most economical. Click the banner on the right to find a fare - the only catch is you have to be a student or a teacher!

Though you can purchase tickets if you are studying outside the USA or Canda this site is of most help to North American students as most of the flights originate from here.

They are worth a look for insurance, hostels and rail travel also - all useful for any budget trip abroad.
